RES - 2023 - 067 <br /> I � <br /> Resolution Approving Conveyance of Property to <br /> the Person County Sheriffs Office <br /> Pursuant to G . S . 160A-274 <br /> WHEREAS , the Orange County Sheriff' s Office owns surplus ammunition that is no <br /> longer needed by the agency ; and <br /> WHEREAS , North Carolina General Statute § 160A-274 authorizes a governmental unit <br /> in this state to exchange with, lease to , lease from, sell to , or purchase from any other <br /> governmental unit any interest in real or personal property upon such terms and conditions <br /> as the governmental unit deems wise , with or without consideration; and <br /> WHEREAS , the Orange County Sheriff' s Office has determined that it is in the best <br /> interest of Orange County to convey 25 , 000 rounds of 40 mm ammunition to the Person <br /> County Sheriff s Office, and deems it wise to do so for sale for $ 5 , 000 . 00 . <br /> THEREFORE , THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RESOLVES THAT : <br /> 1 . The Orange County Sheriff' s Office hereby conveys to Person County Sheriffs <br /> Office the following property : surplus ammunition, more particularly described as follows : <br /> 25 , 000 rounds of 40 mm ammunition <br /> 2 . The property herein described shall be conveyed for sale for $ 5 , 000 . 00 . <br /> 3 .
