Sharon Hill so <br /> moved and Damon Seils seconded the motion. With all members in favor, the minutes were <br /> approved as submitted. <br /> Introductions <br /> Executive Director's Report <br /> • This Feb meeting will be Matt Gladdek's last, he took a job with the Durham Chamber of <br /> Commerce. Paolicelli thanked Matt for his contributions. <br /> • Tourism numbers are coming back, revenues are close to 2019 levels because of <br /> increased daily rate, not occupancy. Occupancy is still slow to recover in the group and <br /> business travel sector. <br /> • A Chapel Hill-based citizen group under the Chamber of Commerce is gathering research <br /> on how to best enforce Airbnb regulations approved by the Town of Chapel Hill last <br /> year. The group asked the Visitors Bureau to purchase the data base that lists all Chapel <br /> Hill property addresses where available and longitude and latitude coordinates when <br /> addresses were not available. The Visitors Bureau has ordered the report. In June 2021, <br /> the Chapel Hill Town Council passed a resolution regulating STRs such as Airbnb and <br /> VRBO within town limits. These regulations require zoning compliance permits, <br />
