Health Department Fee <br /> Schedule Revisions <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year <br /> 2023-24. <br /> Housing Department <br /> 1. The Housing Department has deferred Emergency Housing Voucher Funds unspent in FY <br /> 2022-23. These funds will be used to provide additional emergency vouchers in the wake <br /> of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This amendment reauthorizes $17,454 in the Housing Choice <br /> Voucher Fund, outside of the General Fund. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br /> or economic status. <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Health Department <br /> 2. The Health Department requests to amend the County Fee Schedule to include the new <br /> fees detailed in Attachment 2. These changes to the fee schedule do not affect revenues <br /> budgeted for FY 2023-24. The proposed modifications are to more accurately reflect <br /> administration cost, update the Medicaid reimbursement rate, remove services no longer <br />
