3 <br /> RES-2023-067 <br /> Resolution Approving Conveyance of Property to <br /> the Person County Sheriffs Office <br /> Pursuant to G.S. 160A-274 <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Sheriff's Office owns surplus ammunition that is no <br /> longer needed by the agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute § 160A-274 authorizes a governmental unit <br /> in this state to exchange with, lease to, lease from, sell to, or purchase from any other <br /> governmental unit any interest in real or personal property upon such terms and conditions <br /> as the governmental unit deems wise, with or without consideration; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Sheriff's Office has determined that it is in the best <br /> interest of Orange County to convey 25,000 rounds of 40 mm ammunition to the Person <br /> County Sheriff's Office, and deems it wise to do so for sale for$5,000.00. <br /> THEREFORE,THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RESOLVES THAT: <br /> 1. The Orange County Sheriff's Office hereby conveys to Person County Sheriff's <br /> Office the following property: surplus ammunition,more particularly described as follows: <br /> 25,000 rounds of 40 min ammunition <br /> 2. The property herein described shall be conveyed for sale for $5,000.00. <br /> 3.
