3 <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br /> Orange County Annual Grants Cycle <br /> A total of$119,120 was awarded through fourteen artist grants, sixteen organizational grants, and <br /> six schools during the 2023-24 grants cycle. Available funding equaling $45,509 was from the <br /> North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts Program. The remaining $58,511 was from Orange <br /> County — $29,711 from the Outside Agencies Grant Program and $28,800 from the OCAC Local <br /> Arts Grant budget. <br /> The remaining $15,000 of state grant funding will be used to support the Orange County Schools <br /> (OCS) Title 1 Artist-in-Residence Program in partnership with the ArtsCenter. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable to <br /> this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION AND <br /> INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or color; <br /> religious or philosophical beliefs; sex; gender or sexual orientation; national origin or ethnic <br /> background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential or economic status. <br /> The impact for traditionally under-served populations and geographic location is a part of <br /> the grant evaluation criteria across all of the Commission's grant categories. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board acknowledge the local <br /> recipients of these awards. <br />
