She asked if the
public schools are included in the inventory.
Kristen Cushman said yes.
Commissioner Hamilton asked if it is possible to take the schools out of other government
operations to see them separately. She said she is on the Capital Needs Work Group and there
seems to be major energy savings that could come from the schools.
Kristen Cushman said that information could be provided.
Chair Bedford asked if the unbundled information could go to the schools consulting group.
Bonnie Hammersley said they should have it and they would likely be looking at that
information when making decisions.
Kristen Cushman said it is included as an appendix and she will send it.
Commissioner Hamilton said there will be preliminary results this fall, and this could help.
Travis Myren said he will coordinate the information sharing.
Commissioner Hamilton asked if it includes plug-in hybrids and hybrids.
Kristen Cushman said it includes all EV vehicles.
Commissioner Greene said she is puzzled by the cost estimates and would like to know
more details about the estimate and what it is based on if it does not reflect what is already
planned.
Kristen Cushman said the estimate methodology is in the tracker and she can provide
them with the information. She said that everyone on the committee has access to the tracker
and it is very extensive. She said they expect to have more comments like this during the public
comment period and that they will have the answers available.
Chair Bedford asked if the funding estimates incorporate some of the energy savings.
Kristen Cushman said that it does not but does include inflation.
Commissioner Fowler said they have to approve the budget yearly and it's confusing to
know who would need to know the information and how to include the extra funding.
Bonnie Hammersley said this is the first look at the draft, but the details will come to the
Board in the form of budget recommendations.
