<br />Materials: will use highest quality rot-resistant wood species for siding, shutters, moldings etc. <br />depending on application; k-dat pressure treated or equal for siding boards, stair stringers, <br />risers; other woods will be either accoya or sapele mahogany. Will use hot-dipped galvanized or <br />stainless steel nails as appropriate to match existing; will prime all materials on all sides and <br />prime all end cuts prior to installation using highest quality exterior primer. <br /> <br />PORCH STEPS (front and side porches): <br /> <br />Front porch stairs: lowest riser board is deteriorated and needs replacement: 1@ 1x6 x 8’ long; <br />possible deterioration on side stringers noted so will plan to repair/replace as well. <br /> <br />West side stairs: stringer trim boards on both sides are deteriorated and need replacement: will <br />require 2@ 1x12 mitered stair stringer trim board (approx. 6’ long each) <br /> <br />Note: handicapped ramp at east side of house is not included in this scope; needs re- <br />nailing and repairs by others. <br /> <br /> <br />EAST ELEVATION (facing Cameron St.) <br /> <br />First floor window: north/right of chimney: deteriorated casing and molding: <br />Casing: replace: lengths needed: 6’ and 3’ (5/4” X 3 1/2”) <br />Molding: special profile: replace: 12’ needed (1 ¼”X 1”) <br />Shutter: top and bottom stiles deteriorated: remove/replace or consolidate with epoxy <br /> <br />First floor window: south/left of chimney: window casing/molding ok <br />Shutter: replace with new shutter; old one completely fallen apart, <br /> <br />First floor window: rear wing at left of side door: window casing /shutter are in good condition <br /> <br />Second floor window: right of chimney: window casing /molding are ok <br />Shutter: is new and in good condition <br /> <br />Second floor window: south/left of chimney: window casing /molding are ok <br />Shutter: completely fallen apart, need new shutter <br />Siding on east elev: Generally in good condition, except where noted below; lots of nails sticking <br />out that need to be re-nailed or replaced; these are reproduction historic style of nails made by <br />Tremont; it appears that a section of chimney mortar needs repair where chimney meets siding <br />above first floor window.
