He said <br /> NCDOT then issues a letter with the requirements to the surrounding transportation network that <br /> they feel are justified by the impacts from that school. He said NCDOT will either pay up front or <br /> reimburse the school for the cost of those improvements. He said NCDOT's letter states that for <br /> this proposed school, they are required to provide turn lanes in both driveways and nothing more. <br /> Commissioner Richards said that the information in their packet is just informational. <br /> Cy Stober said there is some nuance about traffic generated from the recreational facilities <br /> separate from the school. He said those are up for consideration. <br /> Commissioner Richards said she was interested in the total number of trips. <br /> Cy Stober said the higher number of trips is related to the school. <br /> Vice-Chair McKee asked the applicant, Jim Parker, about a condition they proposed in the <br /> previous meeting. He said condition was to give Orange County Schools 6 months to consider <br /> entering into negotiations on this school site. He said that they are currently looking at another <br /> site. He asked if the applicant would be willing to extend the timeframe. <br /> Jim Parker said they would be willing to extend to 9 or 12 months. <br />
