8. ITEMS FOR DECISION -CONSENT AGENDA (8:25-8:35) <br />a. Minutes <br />The Board will consider approval and/or correction of minutes of the following meetings: Feb. 5, 2002 <br />regular meeting; Feb. 18 2002 work session; March 6, 2002 regular meeting; March 19, 2002 regular meeting; April 2, <br />2002 regular meeting; and, April 3, 2002 work session. <br />b. Aooointments <br />11 Reappointments to the Adult Care Home Advisory Committee (ACHCACI <br />The Board will consider two reappointments to the Adult Home Care Community Advisory Committee. <br />21 Reaooointments to the Affordable Housina Advisory Board (AHABI <br />The Board will consider one reappointment to the Affordable Housing Advisory Board. <br />31 Reappointments to the Oranae Water and Sewer Authority Board of Directors (OWASA <br />The Board will consider one reappointment to the OWASA Board of Directors. <br />4) Reappointments to the Personnel Advisory Board <br />The Board will consider two reappointments to the Personnel Advisory Board. <br />c. Motor Vehicle Prooertv Tax Refunds <br />The Board will consider 81 requests for refund of motor vehicle property taxes. <br />d. Property Tax Refunds <br />The Board will consider three requests for property tax refunds. <br />e. Property Value Chanaes <br />The Board will consider approval of property value changes made in property values after the 2001 Board <br />of Equalization and Review had adjourned. <br />f. Personnel Ordinance Revision - Chanae Name of Personnel Advisory Board <br />The Board will consider a revision in the Personnel Ordinance changing the name of the Personnel <br />Advisory Board to the Personnel Hearing Board. <br />g Employee Assistance Proaram Contract Renewal <br />The Board will consider renewing the Employee Assistance Program contract with Magellan Behavioral <br />Health at a rate of $1.54 per employee per month. <br />h. Extension of EMS Transportation Contract with Oranae EMS and Rescue Squad <br />The Board will consider extending an existing contract with Orange EMS and Rescue Squad to provide <br />ambulance transportation services through Sept. 30, 2002, at the rate of $58,269.18 per month for the three months of <br />the agreement. <br />i. Emeraencv Medical Services (EMSI Medical Director Contract Renewal <br />The Board will consider renewing a contract with the UNC Department of Emergency Medicine to provide <br />medical director services for the County's Emergency Medical Services Program in the amount of $30,000 for the <br />2002-2003 fiscal year. <br />L Housina Trust Fund - Aoorove Transfer of Aoorooriation <br />The Board will consider approving the transfer of $40,000 from the Housing Trust Fund from the <br />Meadowmont townhouse project sponsored by Orange Community Housing and Land Trust to two acquisition projects <br />sponsored by the same organization. <br />k. Renewal of Food Waste Collection and Compostina Contract <br />The Board will consider renewing a contract that enables the Solid Waste Management Department to <br />provide separated food waste collection services to commercial establishments, at an estimated cost of $85,000 for <br />the 2002-2003 fiscal year. <br />I. RFP Award: Household Hazardous Waste Collection for Solid Waste <br />The Board will consider awarding a bid to EcoFlo of Greensboro to provide household hazardous waste <br />collection services at an annual cost of $120,000. <br />m. Bid Award: Processina Services for Bills and Notices <br />The Board will consider awarding a bid to American Business Forms of Raleigh to process bills and <br />notices for the Revenue, Tax Assessor and Animal Control departments at an annual cost of $45,968. <br />n. Bid Award: Hiah Density Mobile Storaae Shelvina System for Social Services <br />The Board will consider awarding a bid to Brannan Business Systems of Jamestown for an Aisle Saver <br />MA 1000 high-density mobile storage shelving system in the amount of $25,987. <br />o. Pyrotechnics Permit - Oranae Speedway <br />The Board will consider a pyrotechnics permit for Orange County Speedway. <br />Q Surplus Disposal 2002 <br />The Board will consider authorizing the disposal of property declared surplus at an auction to be held <br />Saturday July 13, 2002. <br />
