Memo from Clarion Associates Tom Altieri, 919-245-2579 <br /> Cy Stober, 919-245-2592 <br /> PURPOSE: To receive a briefing from Clarion Associates, LLC, on the Comprehensive Land Use <br /> Plan (CLUP) for discussion and feedback. <br /> BACKGROUND: At its May 16, 2023 Business meeting, the BOCC approved a contract with <br /> Clarion Associates, LCC, to develop a Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The commencement date <br /> for work was June 30, 2023, and the project kick-off occurred during the workweek of July 17-21, <br /> 2023. Most recently, at its September 5, 2023 Business meeting, the BOCC approved an <br /> amendment to the contract adding additional meetings with the Board for project briefings, <br /> discussion and feedback. This item reflects the first briefing. <br /> Additional information is provided in Attachment A. A PowerPoint presentation will be provided at <br /> the meeting. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact associated <br /> with this item. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 1. Receive the briefing from Clarion Associates; <br /> 2. Discuss as necessary; and <br /> 3. Provide any feedback. <br />
