Description of Work
Annual - Emergency Lighting & Exit Signs 90 Minute Test & Inspection Total Cost Per
Year (Excluding Repairs) Amended August 14, 2023
Due -August 2023 - Start Date August-30-2023
IMPACT Fire Services proposes to perform the annual 90-minute burn test & inspections of the emergency/exit lights
and signs. A qualified technician will conduct the annual test & inspection in accordance with Life Safety Code 101, NFPA 70, and the
manufacturer's guidelines. Properly identified and isolated dedicated breakers within the breaker panels will be de-energized and a
simulated 90-minute power failure will be conducted. After testing all units are required to reenergize and batteries to completely recharge
and an additional quick test of the battery will be performed. Any units that test good but fail to energize again after a 90-minute burn test
must be replaced. An alternate test method may include a battery load test with an electronic battery load tester. This test method
simulates a 90-minute load on the battery. The battery will be removed and disconnected from each fixture and leads from the load tester
will be connected to each battery the computer control tester will simulate the load test and report through an electronic display will show
the positive or negative test results of the battery. This is a pass or fail, test. If the battery fails, it must be replaced at that time. No repairs
or replacements are included or covered by this estimate. This test method would require owners' personnel available to make
replacements during the entire process. A report of testing shall be provided.
All services are performed by qualified personnel during normal work hours Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (excluding
holidays), unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. No repairs or replacement parts are included.
While we will do our best to provide a consistent supply of goods and services, recent events nationally have created unprecedented
delays and price increases. "Due to prior COVID issues, raw goods, demand, and unexplained ongoing manufacturing & productions of
raw materials, FESS Fire Protection/Impact Fire Service reserve the right to increase prices without verbal or written advanced notice."
Any applicable sales tax is not included. No Compliance Engine upload fees are included. No replacement units, new equipment, repairs,
test work, recharge, or parts are included. Any man lifts required are not included and can be provided by owners if required. Additional
costs may be incurred if Impact Fire provided man lifts.
Fire Extinguisher Annual Maintenance Service
FESS Fire Protection proposes the annual inspection and maintenance of your portable fire extinguishers. This proposal includes the
costs to perform the annual maintenance service to the extinguishers in accordance with NFPA 10 and other life safety codes on the
agreed-upon date, and at least annually thereafter.
