In order to do so, OCHM staff works with various members of <br />the community and community groups to determine what content should be presented and <br />how in order to promote shared authority in the museum. <br /> <br />6. Please describe how you have involved the intended beneficiaries of the proposed <br />project in the planning and design process (in 100 words or less). <br /> <br />Decisions regarding the selection of exhibit topics and content are made in consultation with <br />civic groups, elected officials, public and homeschool educators, local families, and <br />organizations representing minority groups, such as the Occaneechi Band of the Saponi <br />Nation Tribal Council and Free Spirit Freedom. Continuous feedback is solicited from guests <br />after viewing the exhibits and/or participating in programs. Additionally, pre-visit <br />consultations are always conducted with any special tour group, including with educators. <br /> <br /> <br />7.
