4 <br /> of Chapel Hill budgets. An additional component of this pilot project is a two-year evaluation <br /> to be completed by UNC's School of Government Criminal Justice Innovation Lab. This <br /> evaluation is intended to ensure that the Mobile Crisis Team is operating effectively and <br /> efficiently prior to an anticipated county-wide roll-out. The estimated evaluation cost is <br /> $50,000. The Chapel Hill Police Department will contribute $17,000 to this evaluation and <br /> Orange County has $10,662 available from lapsed Maintenance of Effort (MOE) funds. <br /> This budget amendment moves the $10,662 in available funds from Maintenance of Effort <br /> to the Criminal Justice Resources Department and allocates the additional $22,338 from <br /> the County Capital Reserve Fund for Fiscal Year 2023-24 for this purpose. This <br /> amendment appropriates this additional amount in the Criminal Justice Resource <br /> Department budget in the General Fund. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br /> or economic status. <br /> Office of Equity and Inclusion <br /> 8. The Office of Equity and Inclusion has received $109,064 in additional Housing and Urban <br /> Development (HUD) funds for case reimbursement, administrative costs and training.
