She said she would like to withdraw this amendment. She said after reviewing the <br /> 5 information Durham Tech sent about the Innovation Hub, she thinks the Board should support it. <br /> 6 She added that she will bring a future petition to renegotiate the funding that the county already <br /> 7 provides for Launch and including Durham Tech's presence at the Innovation Hub in that cost. <br /> 8 Vice-Chair McKee said he appreciates Commissioner Hamilton for reconsidering this <br /> 9 amendment. <br /> 10 Commissioner Richards said there are two items related to Durham Tech that she would <br /> 11 like to put forward as amendments at this time. She said she would like to fund $10,000 for the <br /> 12 staff Recruitment and Retention fund and $8,000 for the Apprenticeship Coordinator position. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 A motion was made by Commissioner Richards, seconded by Vice-Chair McKee, to fund <br /> 15 the Apprenticeship Coordinator position at Durham Tech in the amount of$8,249 from Article 46 <br /> 16 funds. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Chair Bedford asked what source should be used to fund the $10,000 to fund the <br /> 21 Recruitment and Retention position. <br /> 22 Travis Myren said there are extra funds in the Social Justice Fund that can be used to <br /> 23 balance the general fund. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 A motion was made by Commissioner Richards, seconded by Commissioner Greene, to <br /> 26 fund the Recruitment and Retention position at Durham Tech in the amount of$10,000. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Commissioner Fowler explained budget amendment OPER-008, which she sponsored. <br /> 31 She explained she would like to return to using the previous fund balance policy and would like <br />
