Local food network/recognition The county could <br /> potentially support and create a network around this to encourage businesses to <br /> adopt sustainable practices. <br /> - Example: David Shaw is a music distributor and he is actively working on becoming <br /> more sustainable in their manufacturing and packaging practices to improve their <br /> brand and attract more business. <br /> •The county could provide resources such as networking sessions for businesses <br /> to share best practices and talk about cost, benefit, and analysis to help build out <br /> the conversation around sustainability practices. <br /> RESOURCE CONSERVATION <br /> • David Shaw's Yep Roc label company, is interested in installing solar panels on their <br /> warehouse roof but the initial investment is a bit of a hurdle. Solarize the Triangle He <br /> suggests having incentives for businesses to convert to more sustainable power and <br /> even install electric vehicle chargers. He also has a palette disposal issue and would <br /> benefit from a reuse program, as would other similar businesses in the area.
