Box 8181 Hillsborough NC 27278 Dear Chair Jacobs: taumr or o Jam` 'pia' ~A IIp- +lo ab Gay^~ ~~ Subject: Recommendation for a LTNC Health Caze Appointrnent to Senior Center Design Committee At the Orange County Advisory Boazd on Aging's January 14a' meeting we reviewed the Board of County Commissioners' decision to appointment a fifteen member design committee to plan for the new Southern Orange Senior Center. After discussion of the design committee's composition, the Orange County Advisory Board on Aging voted to recommend the Commissioners the appointment of a tJNC Health Caze representative in one of the four at- lazge positions. The primary reasons given was LTNC Hospitals current support the center's Wellness Program and the importance of maintaining their partnership in the development of the new senior center as a "Wellness Center." We have talked to Eric Munson, Chief Operating Officer, at UNC Hospitals and they are willing to appoint a representative far this very important senior center design committee, Thank you for your consideration of the Aging Board's recommendation.
