PORCH-Hillsborough has two contract employees. PORCH-Hillsborough contracts
with each individual, so we do not qualify to be listed as an “Orange County Living
Wage Certified Employer.”
Schedule of Positions: # of FTE – Full-Time Paid Positions: ___ # of FTE – Part-Time Paid Positions:
___
Race & Equity
Consistent with our commitment to equity and inclusion, the Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro and
Orange County Government are taking steps together to center racial equity in the Human Services
Funding Program. We are requesting basic information about your organization’s racial equity work.
5. How has your organization incorporated racial equity goals into your organizational goals?
We believe racial equality begins with food equality. Every person should have access
to healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant foods.
We collaborate with the neighborhoods we serve by working with community organizers
in each of those communities with the goal to build relationships and self-sufficiency.
We build cross-cultural teams because we value diversity and inclusion, and to ensure
we’re addressing the needs of each community we serve.
We listen to and uplift the voices of participating community members by regularly
surveying recipients in the communities we serve. This real-time data lets us know how
we’re performing and how we can improve.
We engage through social media, our volunteer coordinator, and our neighborhood
coordinators, inviting all stakeholders to participate with the goal of full community
participation.

6. Please describe how you have involved the intended beneficiaries of the proposed project in the
planning and design process (in 100 words or less).
Beneficiaries are Hispanic, Black, and White members of our community.
Representatives from each of these communities, program recipients, are an integral
part of our FRESH Initiative and help guide us in procuring the right fresh foods. For
instance, through conversations and surveying, we learned that Hispanic families favor
pork over chicken and that sweet potato is not culturally appropriate.

7. Please fill in your agency demographics in the table below:
Agency Demographics
Staff Board
Gender
Men 2
Women 2 6
Nonbinary/Genderqueer
Self-Describe
Total 2 8
Race and Ethnicity
DocuSign Envelope ID: 1D36C59C-C145-4DEC-B613-31B2A8CEC6ED
