Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough NC 27278 <br />Dean Chair 7acobs: <br />Subject: Board Appointment <br />The Orange County Conunission for Women has reviewed all current applicants for <br />membership in the Conunission for Women and recommends Ms. Florence Glasser for <br />the At Large (06-.30-04) position. <br />Ms. Glasser is a resident of Chapel Hill Township <br />The criteria for this position are that the applicant be a resident of Orange County, show <br />an active interest in advocating for women, improving the quality of life for women in <br />Orange County, and a willingness and ability to attend the Commission's meetings and <br />participate in its projects. <br />In addition, the Commission for Women is connnitted to finer°easing the diversity of <br />Commission members and connnitted to preserving a geob °aphical balance of <br />representation whenever possible. <br />Ms. Glasser is a long time resident of Chapel Hill with extensive volunteer' expei~ence <br />and we anticipate that these contacts and her experience will prove to be valuable for our <br />Commission. <br />Thatilc you for' your consideration of her nomination. <br />Sincerely, /~ <br />Angehka Langen <br />Orange County Commission for Women Membership Chair <br />
