Associate,2021-Present Transit ■ Wave Transit Short Range Plan,Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority(Wilmington,NC)2023- Ongoing.Miranda is the market analysis task lead for the short-range transit plan reimagining the transit network in Wilmington,NC under three different funding scenarios.Miranda's work on existing demographic and market conditions will inform options for the agency to expand in the case of additional funding as well as how to reduce service is the least disruptive manner if funding were to decrease. ■ Wake and Durham Bus Plans and Short-Range Transit Plans,GoTriangle(Raleigh/Durham,NC)2021- Ongoing.Miranda is the lead planner for a multi-part effort to update the bus plan for Wake County and create the short-range transit plans for the region's many transit agencies.The team conducted a regional service assessment to identify gaps and opportunities for transit in the Triangle Region and is applying these findings to plan, prioritize,and cost out service,operational,and capital investments. ■ Fall River Comprehensive Operations Analysis,Southeastern Regional Transit Authority(Fall River,MA) 2022-2023.As a task lead for the market analysis and mapping,Miranda supported analyzing Fall River's bus network and proposing changes to the network and service levels under constrained funding conditions.The team studied the existing conditions of Fall River and developed two proposed scenarios for public input. Active Transportation ■ NYSERDA Clean Transportation Prize,Project MOVER(Village of Ossining,NY)2023-Ongoing.As technical analyst,Miranda is supporting this grant-winning project that aims to put electric bikes within reach of every Ossining resident and visitor,through strategic placement and structuring of a-bike share, e-bike libraries,and a-bike lease-to-own programs.Data analysis focuses on serving both those most likely to ride bikes as well as residents who would most benefit from low-cost mobility options, incorporating new equity metrics and extensive community engagement. Fare Studies ■ Tucson Sun Tran Fare Study,City of Tucson(Tucson,AZ)2021-2022.Conducted fare-free analysis on the potential impacts of zero-fare service on ridership,operations,and finances and the equity implications of multiple fare scenarios.
