Initial recommendations <br /> are anticipated to be implemented in October 2023. <br /> ■ Major Investment Study and Alternatives Analysis,CAMPO(Wake County,NC)2021-2023. Thomas is <br /> the project manager for a study to identify potential extensions to two BRT corridors radiating from <br /> Raleigh,NC. The study has identified multiple different options and through a qualitative and <br /> quantitative process is screening down to two potential options. The technical work is being <br /> supplemented by an extensive outreach process to ensure that each alignment reflects local needs. <br /> ■ GoDurham Short-Range Transit Plan,(Durham,NC)2018-2019.Thomas led a project that <br /> restructured GoDurham service to address on-time performance and improve frequency in the <br /> highest ridership corridors.Without increasing budget,an additional 9 miles of 15-minute all day <br /> service were developed.Service was implemented in January 2020. <br /> ■ Chapel Hill Transit Short-and Long-Range Plan(Chapel Hill,NC),2017-2019.Thomas was the project <br /> manager of a project to better match Chapel Hill Transit's service network with current and projected <br /> demands.Service levels on the highest ridership areas were improved and Sunday service on limited <br /> routes was recommended.Long-term improvements focused on new high capacity corridors and <br /> serving new development.Recommendations are expected to be implemented in August 2020. <br /> ■ Wake County Transit Corridors Major Investment Study,GoTriangle(Wake County,NC)2017-2019. <br /> Thomas is the project manager for this study.In 2016 Wake County passed a ballot measure funding <br /> the planning and implementation of four BRT corridors and one commuter rail corridor over the next <br /> decade.This study is the first step in identifying preferred alignments,conceptual designs,and an <br /> implementation timeline for each of the high capacity transit investments.Tasks included a review <br /> of peer system best practices to inform the development of design guidelines and performance <br /> standards to ensure that BRT is implemented with features that will provide an enhanced experience <br /> over local bus service.In addition an evaluation framework was developed to guide the selection of <br /> preferred alignments and prioritize the order of project implementation.Conceptual designs,cost <br /> estimates,and ridership modeling were also conducted.This study required collaboration and <br /> consensus building with multiple transit operators,municipalities,and MPOs. <br /> ■ GoTriangle Short-Range and 10-Year Transit Plan,GoTriangle(Research Triangle,NC)2017-2018. <br /> Thomas was project manager the regional transit agency's short-range and 10-year transit plans. <br /> ■ 2050 Moves Long Range Transit Plan,Utah Transit Authority(Salt Lake City)2022-ongoing. Thomas <br /> is leading this plan,which is designed to create a roadmap of capital and operating investment <br /> priorities for the agency.It also addresses a gap between agency short-range planning efforts and <br /> the two MPO's long-range planning process. <br />
