Our team, led by Public Participation Partners,will develop a public <br /> involvement plan to ensure the Short Range Transit Plan reflects the shared needs, priorities, and values of all <br /> segments of the greater Orange County. Within two weeks of the project kickoff meeting, our team will draft a <br /> public involvement plan detailing: <br /> ■ Outreach goals and objectives for the two phases of engagement <br /> • Project messaging that is accessible to the general public <br /> ■ How the team will make a concerted effort to engage with environmental justice communities, low- <br /> income households, communities of color, populations with limited English proficiency, and other <br /> communities that rely on public transit <br /> ■ Potential stakeholders and organizations to engage <br /> The Public Involvement Plan will also detail potential engagement strategies. Nelson\Nygaard and P3 have <br /> extensive experience collaborating across diverse audiences to develop transit plans, including transit plans in <br /> the Triangle Region.
