2023 Year Of The Trial <br /> The 2023 Year of the Trail event celebrates North <br /> Carolina's vast and diverse collection of trails. It <br /> encourages all residents to recognize their role as <br /> stewards of these valuable resources.The initiative ;. <br /> looks to a future where each of the state's 100 counties <br /> experiences the proven benefits of trails and advocates <br /> for their ongoing growth and development. <br /> As a regional transportation authority focused on <br /> connecting communities, PART will leverage our Social <br /> Media and Website to showcase some of the region's <br /> vast trail and greenway systems and work to link <br /> citizens to mobility options they can utilize to get out <br /> and explore. STORIES FROM" <br /> THE GREAT TRAILS STATE <br /> PART recently received a request from Randolph <br /> County'sTrail Coordinator to sign a resolution in a 2023 IS NC. YEAR CIF THE TRAIL! <br /> show of support for this state-wide initiative, and the <br /> resolution is currently being taken into consideration. <br /> March is Women's History Month <br /> Women's History Month originated as a national celebration in 1981 when Congress authorized and requested the <br /> President to proclaim the week of March 7, 1982,as "Women's History Week."Throughout the next five years, Congress <br /> passed joint resolutions designating a week in March as "Women's History Week." In 1987 after being petitioned by <br /> the National Women's History Project, Congress established the month of March 1987 as "Women's History Month." <br /> Between 1988 and 1994, Congress passed additional resolutions requesting and authorizing the President to proclaim <br /> March of each year as Women's History Month.
