Summary of Outreach Efforts Made Since the Last Title VI Program submission <br /> The following format is used to document outreach efforts in reports to NCDOT. STAFF TRAINING <br /> All employees will receive basic Title VI training at least once every three years. New hires will receive this <br /> training within 15 days of their start date. Basic training will cover all sections of this Plan and our overall Title <br /> VI obligations. Staff may receive specialized training on how Title VI applies to their specific work areas. Those <br /> who routinely encounter the public, such as office personnel, call center staff, and vehicle drivers, will receive <br /> annual refresher training. Trainings will be provided or organized by the Title VI Coordinator and will often <br /> coincide with updates to our nondiscrimination policies and procedures. Records of staff trainings, such as <br /> agendas, sign-in sheets, copies of calendars, and certificates, will remain on file for at least three years (and in <br /> personnel files). <br /> XII. NONELECTED BOARDS AND COMMITTEES — BY RACE AND GENDER <br /> The table below depicts race and gender compositions for each of our nonelected (appointed) decision- <br /> making bodies.
