Mr. Bruce Woody <br />June 9, 2023 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />During the subject sampling event, the laboratory will analyze: <br />▪ samples obtained from eight compliance wells (6801-MW101, 6801-MW102S, 6801-MW104, <br />6801-MW105, 6801-MW106, 6801-MW107, 6801-MW110S, 6801-MW111) for the constituents <br />listed in Appendix I <br />▪ additional samples obtained from well 6801-MW110S for constituents required by regulations <br />for monitoring of C&D landfills (manganese, iron, mercury, chloride, sulfate, tetrahydrofuran, <br />total dissolved solids, alkalinity) <br />▪ samples obtained from well 6801-MW110D for total arsenic <br />▪ all samples (9 wells) for full list of PFAS compounds (40 analytes) of EPA (draft) method 1633 per <br />NCDEQ requirements. <br />▪ additional samples obtained from well 6801-MW110S for quality control parameters (MS/MSD) <br />▪ one trip blank for quality control parameters and one duplicate, one equipment blank for PFAS <br /> <br />In addition to the above tasks, TRC plans to coordinate with field personnel to obtain one leachate sample <br />from the South Facility, for the analysis of the constituents listed in Appendix I, plus BOD, COD, manganese, <br />mercury, nitrate, sulfate, and phosphate. The leachate sample will also be submitted for PFAS analysis. <br /> <br />TRC also plans to coordinate with field personnel to obtain groundwater samples from one residential well <br />(Ms. Nunn, 1621 Eubanks Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27516; identified as N1) for analysis of the constituents <br />listed in 40 CFR Part 258 (15A NCAC 13B .1600) Appendix I. <br /> <br />TRC will prepare a digital version (Adobe Acrobat or functional equivalent) of the report and provide it to <br />OCSWM and to NCDEQ. Additionally, all EDDs will be compiled and submitted to the state’s EQUIS <br />database per NCDEQ requirements. This action was previously covered under the regulatory task. <br /> <br /> <br />OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITIES. Owner shall provide access to TRC personnel to enter the landfill during <br />normal operating hours, or on other days or times as mutually agreed, in order to provide the field services <br />associated with the tasks outlined above. <br /> <br />Task-03 <br />Stormwater Analytical <br /> <br />TRC receive the analytical charge from Eurofins and bill OCSWM for the amount charged. It is assumed <br />that PFAS analysis may also be required for the annual sampling event.
