Mr. Bruce Woody <br />June 9, 2023 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />TRC shall coordinate field and laboratory services, obtain groundwater samples, review sampling <br />documentation received from groundwater sampling personnel, chemically analyze groundwater samples <br />(Eurofins), validate analytical data provided by the contracted laboratory, update historical summary tables, <br />and prepare a report suitable for direct submission to NCDEQ. <br /> <br />During the subject sampling event, the laboratory will analyze: <br />▪ samples obtained from seven compliance wells (6801-MW101, 6801-MW102S, 6801-MW104, <br />6801-MW106, 6801-MW107, 6801-MW110S, 6801-MW111) for the constituents listed in <br />Appendix I <br />▪ samples obtained from one compliance well (6801-MW105) for the constituents listed in <br />Appendix II <br />▪ additional samples obtained from well 6801-MW110S for constituents required by regulations <br />for monitoring of C&D landfills (manganese, iron, mercury, chloride, sulfate, tetrahydrofuran, <br />total dissolved solids, alkalinity) (well 6801-MW110S is associated with the monitoring programs <br />for both the active C&D landfill and South sanitary landfill) <br />▪ samples obtained from well 6801-MW110D for total arsenic <br />▪ all samples (9 wells) for full list of PFAS compounds (40 analytes) of EPA (draft) method 1633 per <br />NCDEQ requirements. . <br />▪ additional samples obtained from well 6801-MW110S for quality control parameters (MS/MSD) <br />▪ one trip blank for quality control parameters and one duplicate, one field blank for PFAS. <br /> <br />In addition to the above analysis, TRC plans to coordinate with field personnel to obtain one leachate <br />sample from the South Facility for the analysis of the constituents listed in Appendix I, plus BOD, COD, <br />manganese, mercury, nitrate, sulfate, and phosphate. The leachate sample will also be submitted for PFAS <br />analysis. <br /> <br />TRC will prepare a digital version (Adobe Acrobat or functional equivalent) of the report and provide it to <br />OCSWM and to NC- DEQ. Additionally, all electronic data deliverables (EDDs) will be compiled and <br />submitted to the state’s EQUIS database per NCDEQ requirements. This action was previously covered <br />under the regulatory task. <br /> <br />Task-02 <br />Groundwater Sampling Event 60 (Event 2024 S1) <br /> <br />TRC proposes to conduct groundwater sampling event 60 at the Orange County Regional Landfill – South <br />Facility during May 2024. <br /> <br />TRC shall coordinate field and laboratory services, obtain groundwater samples, review sampling <br />documentation received from groundwater sampling personnel, chemically analyze groundwater samples <br />(Eurofins), validate analytical data provided by the contracted laboratory, update historical summary tables, <br />and prepare a report suitable for direct submission to NC-DEQ. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 33C094A0-39E5-4FF7-B854-69713E181C21
