She said that David Clinton <br /> has been in the position since 2004, but indicated he would be willing to continue serving, but he <br /> would also step aside if there were other applicants. She said that there is another applicant from <br /> the ETJ, Terri Buckner. <br /> The Board agreed by consensus on Susan Poulton for the Joint Planning Transition Area <br /> position and Terri Buckner for the Carrboro ETJ position. <br /> 9. Commission for the Environment—Appointment Discussion <br /> The Board discussed an appointment to the Commission for the Environment. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Commission for the Environment advises the Board of Commissioners on <br /> matters affecting the environment with particular emphasis on protection. It educates public and <br /> local officials on environmental issues and performs special studies and projects.
