Minutes <br /> The Board approved the draft minutes for the March 9, 2023, March 14, 2023, and March 21, <br /> 2023 BOCC Meeting as submitted by the Clerk to the Board. <br /> b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopte4d a resolution to release motor vehicle property tax values for seven (7) <br /> taxpayers with a total of seven (7) bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution to release property tax values for four (4) taxpayers with a total <br /> of twelve (12) bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> d. Approval of Memorandum of Agreement between the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners and North Carolina State University <br /> The Board approved and authorized the Manager to sign a Memorandum of Agreement between <br /> Orange County and North Carolina State University (NCSU) that will define the individual <br /> relationships and mutually agreed upon responsibilities of NCSU and Orange County Government <br /> in the operation of the Orange County Center of North Carolina Cooperative Extension. <br /> e. North Carolina Local Government Commission Audit Contract with Mauldin &Jenkins, <br /> LLC — First Renewal <br /> The Board: <br /> 1) Approved the first of two one-year renewal options for Mauldin & Jenkin, LLC to perform <br /> full audit services which includes financial, single audits and financial statement <br /> preparation; and <br /> 2) Authorized the Chair and Finance Officer to sign the North Carolina Government <br /> Commission audit contract on behalf of the BOCC pending staff and attorney review. <br /> f. Application for North Carolina Education Lottery Proceeds for Chapel Hill Carrboro City <br /> Schools (CHCCS) and Contingent Approval of Budget Amendment #8-B Related to <br /> CHCCS Capital Proiect Ordinances <br /> The Board approved an application to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction <br /> (NCDPI) to release proceeds from the NC Education Lottery account related to FY 2022-23 debt <br /> service payments for Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS), and approving Budget <br /> Amendment#8-B, contingent on the NCDPI's approval of the application. <br /> g.
