Chapel Hill Parks, Greenways, and Recreation Commission —Appointment Discussion <br /> The Board considered an appointment to the Chapel Hill Parks, Greenways, and Recreation <br /> Commission. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Chapel Hill Parks, Greenways, and Recreation Commission promotes <br /> recreation for the residents of Chapel Hill. The Commission serves as the recreation policy <br /> advisory body for the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Town. It consults with and <br /> advises the Town Council on matters affecting the overall recreational policies of the Town, the <br /> acquisition and use of lands and properties related to the total community recreation program, <br /> and its long-range projected programs for recreation, parks, and playgrounds. <br /> The Board of County Commissioners appoints one (1) Orange County resident. <br /> The following individual is presented for reappointment: <br />
