Colliers International – Ed Hallberg <br />Ed.Hallberg@colliers.com <br />Summit provided civil and structural engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture services for the flood <br />remediation project at Pinecroft Place Apartments. The 22 acre site was developed in 1973 with 20 townhome buildings <br />and associated site amenities. Due to its location within a delta of a nearby stream, the ground floor apartments <br />repeatedly flooded, displacing residents and damaging the foundations of the building. As a result of the last flood, <br />32 units were condemned. Summit conducted a site assessment, survey, and developed construction drawings for <br />submittal to the City of Greensboro, FEMA and associated agencies for review and permitting. Our design solution <br />includes site grading improvements and integrating floodwalls to the exterior of vulnerable buildings.
