Chapel Hill Parks, Greenways, and Recreation Commission —Appointment Discussion <br /> 30 The Board considered an appointment to the Chapel Hill Parks, Greenways, and Recreation <br /> 31 Commission. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 BACKGROUND: The Chapel Hill Parks, Greenways, and Recreation Commission promotes <br /> 34 recreation for the residents of Chapel Hill. The Commission serves as the recreation policy <br /> 35 advisory body for the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Town. It consults with and <br /> 36 advises the Town Council on matters affecting the overall recreational policies of the Town, the <br /> 37 acquisition and use of lands and properties related to the total community recreation program, <br /> 38 and its long-range projected programs for recreation, parks, and playgrounds. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 The Board of County Commissioners appoints one (1) Orange County resident. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 The following individual is presented for reappointment: <br /> 43 <br />
