She said they also provide property tax <br /> 8 assistance to homeowners. She said Rebuilding Together helps with rehabilitating houses. She <br /> 9 said they are in a consortium with Habitat and rehabilitation staff with the county and Chapel <br /> 10 Hill. She said these agencies were all brought together to have one entry point for people <br /> 11 applying for their houses to be rehabilitated. She said that Habitat also receives money from the <br /> 12 county for rehabilitating homes. <br /> 13 Commissioner Fowler asked what the Community Empowerment Fund does. <br /> 14 Bonnie Hammersley said this agency's goal is to help to people experiencing <br /> 15 homelessness, and others, reach their employment, housing, and finance goals.
