The Housing Department distributed the bulk of these funds in two rounds — $2.5 million <br /> in 2017 and $2.5 million in 2020. There are $769,680 in remaining unspent funds and bond sale <br /> proceeds that Housing Department staff would like to make available for affordable housing <br /> projects in the summer of 2023. <br /> At the June 8, 2023 Budget Work Session, the Board of County Commissioners provided direction <br /> that an additional $5 million for affordable housing development be allocated from the Capital <br /> Investment Plan (CIP) funding for FY 2023-2024.
