She said that David Clinton <br /> 10 has been in the position since 2004, but indicated he would be willing to continue serving, but he <br /> 11 would also step aside if there were other applicants. She said that there is another applicant from <br /> 12 the ETJ, Terri Buckner. <br /> 13 The Board agreed by consensus on Susan Poulton for the Joint Planning Transition Area <br /> 14 position and Terri Buckner for the Carrboro ETJ position. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 <br /> 17 9. Commission for the Environment—Appointment Discussion <br /> 18 The Board discussed an appointment to the Commission for the Environment. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 BACKGROUND: The Commission for the Environment advises the Board of Commissioners on <br /> 21 matters affecting the environment with particular emphasis on protection. It educates public and <br /> 22 local officials on environmental issues and performs special studies and projects.
