_____________________________________________________________________________ <br />State Centric MOA 4393-0083-F Orange County <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Emergency Management Act, N.C.G.S. § 166A-19 et. <br />seq. and N.C.G.S. §§ 143B-1000 and 166A-19.12(10) and (13) authorize the relationship as <br />described herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Emergency Management Act, N.C.G.S. § 166A- <br />19.12(25) authorizes the Division to contract for services from vendors specializing in housing <br />elevation, acquisition, demolition, and mitigation reconstruction on private residential structures <br />to implement the federal Hazard Mitigation Grant Program on behalf of the State or political <br />subdivisions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State and the County represent that it is fully qualified, possesses the <br />requisite skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience to provide the services identified <br />herein, and does agree to perform as described herein; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the State and the County do mutually agree as follows: <br /> <br />(1) SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />The State and County shall implement the Hazard Mitigation project summarized <br />below and as described in the approved project application (Project # 4393-0083- <br />F) and in accordance with the State Centric Plan.
