Now more than 50 years old, the club is built on the <br />principle of "service above self" as evidenced through service to a <br />variety of local, national, and international projects. The club's <br />foundation helps fund projects including the Dental Mission, <br />Teacher Supply Store, and Bike Night. The Foundation is <br />conservatively managed and a safe, sustainable withdrawal is used <br />to support service projects. <br /> <br />ECH Rotary raised $6,500 in 2020 and partnered with Southern <br />Energy Management (SEM) to pay for the first installation of <br />rooftop solar on a Habitat home in Orange County. ECH Rotary <br />partnered with Orange Habitat and UNC Habitat Solar Club to <br />successfully solicit solar panels from Strata Clean Energy and <br />partnered with Hillsborough Rotary Club to apply for Rotary district <br />grants to support this project. <br />d.
