(HHOC) with the infrastructure <br />necessary to facilitate the constnaction of Phase I of the Richmond Hills subdivision in Efland. <br />Approximately 25 houses were planned for Phase I. Under a subsequent grant agreement, <br />HHOC agreed to build and sell eighteen (18) of these houses to Temporary Assistance to <br />Needy Families (TANF) eligible first-time homebuyer. Staff is pleased to report, however, that <br />at the end of the grant, a total of 25 houses were built and sold to TANF families. <br />All planned CDBG activities have been completed and all grant funds have been expended. A <br />summary of the program beneficiaries is attached to this abstract. <br />In order to complete the grant close-cut process, the N.C, Department of Commerce requires <br />that a public hearing be held prior to the official closeout of the Housing Development Program <br />to assess the performance of the County in administering the grant program, In addition, the <br />County is required to execute a Certificate of Completion farm that is included with this abstract, <br />All comments received during the hearing should be reviewed to determine the level of <br />consistency with program goals, <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br />
