1099
Lamar Proctor: In the packet, there is reference to Tryon 3 Arden Circle. Do you know what that’s about? Page 225. 1100
What’s the relationship between C4 and the site plan? 1101
1102
Jim Parker: This was the initial routing of the public sewer that the town of Hillsborough wanted to see the proposed 1103
routing of the public sewer and we had two alternatives to the routing. The initial one was through Habitat for Humanity’s 1104
project, and it would piggyback off that sewer system that they would install and it would punch through to Colonial 1105
Heights. Then, we submitted the one I described earlier, about going up US 70. So, you’ve got two options, we prefer the 1106
US 70 route, at this point, and that’s the primary one that is submitted in this packet. 1107
1108
Lamar Proctor: That’s fine. What about water? 1109
1110
Jim Parker: Water would come down Jefferson, there is a water line that crosses I85 at the southwest corner of the 1111
Colonial Heights subdivision the town put in several years ago. It’s already there at the roadway at Jefferson and it would 1112
be extended up Jefferson and cross Lawrence Road to the site and that is a 12-inch line. 1113
1114
Lamar Proctor: So the indoor facility would not be on the school property? 1115
1116
Jim Parker: Correct. That indoor facility could be tennis courts, it could be basketball, it could be volleyball courts, it’s all 1117
in that building. That’s why it’s called the recreational building. 1118
1119
Lamar Proctor: The separate parcels are going to be contingent upon the nonprofits, raising the money and building 1120
them? 1121
1122
Jim Parker: Correct, or anyone who wants to build them. 1123
1124
Lamar Proctor: So the developer is not building those. 1125
1126
Jim Parker: Correct. 1127
1128
Lamar Proctor: I know that land was cleared and the vicinity of Bushy Cook and West Ten Road, well over 40 acres that 1129
were cleared for HYAA ballfields. Do either of you know the status of that? 1130
1131
Jim Parker: My understanding is that’s no longer an option. 1132
1133
Lamar Proctor: So the conditional zoning that is before us is two schools, 1400 students, is that correct? 1134
1135
Jim Parker: That’s correct. 1136
1137
Lamar Proctor: I assume, and one of the board members talked about this, that there would be a cafeteria, a gym, 1138
showers… 1139
1140
Jim Parker: No showers, and cafeteria is a misnomer, they do not have a kitchen, they do not cook food, but the 1141
cafeteria is where they all eat. They have supplemental lunches that are brought in, they have lunch programs, and they 1142
bring their own lunches from home. 1143
1144
Lamar Proctor: On page 246, you should be able to put in here how much water and sewer will be consumed, since you 1145
know there will be 1400 students. 1146
1147
Jim Parker: The reason it is written that way is because we don’t have the full charter, which would only be accepted by 1148
the town. If the charter existed and was asked by the charter, right now the charter ask is 6 thousand gallons and that is 1149
what’s been reserved. It’s going to change if another charter comes along for the k-8, and then that request will go to the 1150
town as well. So, it could be 6 thousand gallons – which is the high school – or it could be up to 12 thousand, if both are 1151
combined. It’s about 10 gallons per student, and that’s based on state regulations and historical data for charter schools. 1152
1153
25
