Subject to approval by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the property <br /> owner shall install a concrete median along with additional striping on Lawrence Road <br /> at the intersection with Old NC 10 Highway prior to issuance of a certificate of <br /> compliance for the school. <br /> 6. Subject to approval by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the property <br /> owner shall install school zone/35 m.p.h. speed limit signage on Lawrence Road and <br /> US 70A in the vicinity of the school. <br /> 7. Subject to approval by the Town of Hillsborough and the North Carolina Department <br /> of Environmental Quality, in the event water service is provided to the school, the <br /> property owner shall install fire hydrants at required intervals along US 70A prior to <br /> issuance of a certificate of compliance for the school. <br /> 8. There will be no cafeteria facilities if the site is served by an on-site septic system. <br /> 9. For a minimum of six months after approval of this zoning atlas amendment, the <br /> applicant shall not submit any site plan application for approximately 12 acres <br /> designated for a school use within PIN 9883-19-4355, and during those six months <br /> the applicant shall grant the Orange County School District an exclusive right to <br /> negotiate the purchase or lease of approximately 12 acres for use as a K-8 school. <br /> Our team is ready, willing and able to consider other conditions for MA22-0004 that members of <br /> the Board of County Commissioners may suggest at the June 6, 2023 meeting. <br /> cc: John Roberts, Esq., County Attorney <br />
