I hold a Ph.D <br /> Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board <br /> I've faced hardship owning businesses in orange county and I see business being driven away, <br /> kindness being put on the backburner, and the welcoming nature of our community being stifled <br /> by our own rules and regulations. I want to serve as a voice for my neighbors and protect the <br /> community, while encouraging growth. <br /> How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> I have a diverse background, coming from a lower-middle class family in Ohio, moving to the <br /> area to learn at one of our esteemed universities, and falling in love with the area. My viewpoint <br /> is unique in that I've lived in rough settings, rural, farming, and also in crowded metro areas. I've <br /> lived my life with family and friends from poor, underserved and diverse social and economic <br /> settings. I've also lived in the world of higher education and work well with people who can affect <br /> positive change by investing in the local area. My input, although only a small voice, I'd hope <br /> would be reflective of the diverse population in Orange County. <br /> Do you have any personal or business interest(s) that could create a conflict of interest <br /> (either real or perceived) if you are appointed to this board? <br /> I own multiple businesses in orange county, including one that has been shuttered due to zoning <br /> issues. I will abstain from any matters directly associated with any of my business. <br />
