He said the septic field will <br /> 10 be to the south between the parking lot and the new vegetative buffer. He said there is a 100 foot <br /> 11 buffer located at the south side and west side that they are leaving natural. He said there is <br /> 12 another natural buffer along with the north side on Highway 54. He said they would clear up to <br /> 13 those buffer lines. <br /> 14 Commissioner Fowler asked about the frontage on Highway 54 <br /> 15 Brent Purdum referred to a previous slide to describe where trees would be left, where <br /> 16 trees would be cleared, and where trees would be planted. He also said there would be shrubbery <br /> 17 included to screen the parking lot. He said that there is a stormwater pond that would be included <br /> 18 for the impervious surfaces. <br /> 19 Commissioner Fowler asked if the turn lane on Highway 54 had room with the stormwater <br /> 20 pond. <br /> 21 Brent Purdum said yes and indicated the turn lane on the slide. <br /> 22 Vice-Chair McKee said there are commercial properties to the north across Hwy 54, <br /> 23 commercial property plus woods on the east, a house to the west, and then the owner's property <br /> 24 to the south. He said he only sees commercial property around this. <br /> 25 Brent Purdum said yes. <br /> 26 Bob Hornik said the site is in a rural community activity node according to the <br /> 27 Comprehensive Plan. He said the proposed use is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and <br /> 28 the future land use plan. <br /> 29 Vice-Chair McKee said that was why he asked, because he knew it was in the node. <br />
