Most of these youth are not eligible for other foster care funds and <br /> the Department of Social Services will utilize these funds to meet some of their needs such as <br /> purchasing household items, clothing, and travel funds to return to the community, and short term <br /> housing while also providing counseling and referrals to appropriate resources. <br /> o FY 2021-22 Round 2: $10,000 <br /> o Total Spent as of March 31, 2023: $8,749 <br /> o Treasury Portal Status: More than 50%Complete <br /> Support for Low Income Families—Department of Social Services <br /> This project will provide funding support to low-income families that have experienced barriers <br /> to employment and/or access to essential services created or exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. <br /> Department of Social Services will assist in reducing barriers to transportation by directly paying <br /> transportation providers, supplying gas cards, paying vehicle repair costs, etc. Other support may <br /> include equipment or supplies need for obtaining or retaining employment, emergency needs, items for <br /> health and safety, or costs to safely quarantine when necessary. <br /> o FY 2021-22 Round 2: $25,000 <br /> o Total Spent as of March 31, 2023: $24,233 <br /> o Treasury Portal Status: More than 50%Complete <br /> Fire District P25 Phase II Compliant Radio Replacement <br /> This project provides funding to replace obsolete radios used by nine (9) Orange County Fire <br /> Departments and Rescue Squads.The new radios will be P25 compliant in order to ensure <br /> interoperability and compatibility with other public safety equipment and entities. Note: The fire <br /> districts have named White Cross Fire District as the fiscal agent for this process. White has selected a <br /> vendor for the purchase of new radios and associated annual maintenance. Radios have been ordered <br /> and are expected to arrive by lune 2023. Once radios are received and the invoice is paid, the expense <br /> will be reflected in the Total Spent. <br /> o FY 2022-23 Round 1: $2,562,300 <br /> o Total Spent as of March 31, 2023: $0 (Purchase Order placed, waiting to receive radios <br /> and then pay invoice) <br /> o Treasury Portal Status: Less than 50% complete <br /> o Note: Once radios are received and the invoice is paid, the expense will be reflected in <br /> the Total Spent. <br /> Childcare Support Parent Fees <br /> This project will provide funding to cover the cost of parent fees for childcare support and <br /> expand eligibility to additional low-income families in need in Orange County, which will enable those <br /> families to retain employment. <br /> 8 <br />
