Year-to-Date Budget Kirk Vaughn, (919) 245-2153 <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year <br /> 2022-23. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> County Manager's Office <br /> 1. The Arts Commission entered into a joint agreement with the Town of Carrboro and <br /> Town of Hillsborough to fund a survey coordination contractor for the Americans for the <br /> Arts — Arts & Economic Prosperity survey that occurs every five years. The County <br /> funded its portion in the department expense budget. The County has received <br /> payments from both the Town of Carrboro and Town of Hillsborough for $3,330. These <br /> funds are held within the Visitors Bureau Fund which is outside of General Fund. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race <br /> or color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; <br /> national origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, <br /> residential or economic status. <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br />
