<br />board of the Eno River Farmers’ Market (ERFM), effective 11 Mar 2023. The changes are a result of our
<br />annual membership meeting and election.

<br />The changes include replacing our former president, Tracy LaFleur, with Mr. Lowe, and election of three
<br />new board members (Ms. Taylor, Ms. Smith, and Ms. Pengelly), to replace three former board members
<br />(Ms. LaFleur, Alison McCandless, and Kevin Mason).
<br />
<br />The six elected board members are usually elected by the voting membership of the market to three-
<br />year terms, whose periods are staggered to avoid complete board turn-over in any one year. (This year
<br />was unusual in that two of our former board members stepped down during our market year, so
<br />elections were also held to identify board members to replace them for the remainder of their
<br />terms.) Elections are held in March of each year. Emily holds the community member position, a voting
<br />position, to which position she is appointed by the board itself.
<br />Officers are chosen by the board, each year, after elections have been held and the community member
<br />appointed. Officers’ terms are all one year.
