14 <br /> 1 Slide #6 <br /> Behavioral Health Benefit <br /> • Part of the Manager's Initiative to recognize employee <br /> stress and burnout in the workplace <br /> — Focuson a more direct strategyfor preventing bumouland to <br /> work more proactively,and more collaboratively with partners to <br /> implement programs that are accessible,useful to employees <br /> and sustainable in the workplace. <br /> • UNUM Behavioral Health <br /> - Based on clinical assessments.this program provides access to <br /> mental wellness resources,guided assessment and <br /> recommendations,an immediate gateway to personalized <br /> support,and access to a therapist within three days.The <br /> services is available 24 hours a day,7 days a week. <br /> — The total cost of this program is $89,000 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> NOWTI L CAROLLh,i <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Commissioner Fowler asked if this is an online or in-service program. <br /> 4 Brenda Bartholomew said that it could be either in-person or online and that it is probably going <br /> 5 to be online. <br /> 6 Commissioner Hamilton asked how long they will get the therapist. <br /> 7 Brenda Bartholomew said the program is either designed to be part of an 8-week program or <br /> 8 a 12-week program. She said it is not a transition like the EAP program. She said it is seamless <br /> 9 and it is not a group. <br /> 10 Commissioner Fowler asked if it is a licensed therapist. <br /> 11 Brenda Bartholomew said she believed so, but would verify that information. <br /> 12 Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked if it is the same therapist for the duration of the program. <br /> 13 Brenda Bartholomew said she can confirm, but she believed that was correct. <br /> 14 Commissioner Richards said she is glad to see this benefit offered. She said that when she <br /> 15 attended the national conference, they had a program called First Aid and this is very akin to that. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Slide #7 <br /> Manager Recommendation <br /> • Board approve an increase of 6%to the Health <br /> Insurance Premium Equivalents for both active and pre- <br /> 65 retirees and the amount of the increase to be fully <br /> paid by the county <br /> • Burd approve an increase of Health Insurance funding <br /> of$659,108 <br /> • County to continue to participate as a member in the <br /> North Carolina Health Insurance Pool (NCHIP) <br /> • County to continue with Delta Dental with no increase in <br /> rates or funding <br /> • County implement UNUM Behavioral Health as a benefit <br /> to all employees <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> N'O n L GAROMNA <br /> 18 <br />
