It was found <br /> that this was not always consistently done. <br /> Training Needs Identified <br /> The CFIT co-chain attended"Child Death Scene Investigations"training February 37'h <br /> and2goin Chatham County. This training wen provided add taught by staff fmm the <br /> State Mcical Examiner's Office. We will be requesting that this same contains be <br /> provided to all Orange County CFPT numbers within the next few months. The focus of <br /> this dainiog is to educate, barn,said assist local CFPT teams in proper child death <br /> medicolegal investigated techniques and to advise them of trends in childhood fatalities. <br /> This training's primary objective is to identify and close gaps in systems designed to <br /> protect children's well being and thereby reduce child deaths ch North Carolina <br /> Conclusion <br /> The Orange County Child Fatality Prevention Team bas difigently worked to become a <br /> meme solidified and cohesive team We have consistently sought involvement loom local <br /> law enforcement agencies,medical examiner's Sides,medical providers and school <br /> panomel. A a result ofdds consistency, we have excellent reprenentadon from a wide <br /> a rtayefducipdnes. Weare takingacloser look atdrnds in SIDSdeads. Wehave <br /> ordered brochures on child safety and shared then with other county agencies.
