170 <br /> Tyler Sliger <br /> From: Jones, DeAngelo J <djjones1 @ncdot.gov> <br /> Sent: Tuesday, March 14, 2023 10:13 AM <br /> To: Tyler Sliger <br /> Cc: Chuck Edwards Contact <br /> Subject: RE: [External] Memo for MA22-0006 (Edenview) <br /> Hello Tyler <br /> Please find comments from my review of Edenview. <br /> Permitting <br /> Y An NCDOT Driveway Permit submittal is required to be uploaded to the portal. <br /> Y An NCDOT Subdivision Minimum Construction Standards Review submitted as hard copy to the District Office is <br /> required. <br /> Traffic <br /> Edenview is a proposed 38 lot subdivision with primary access on SR 1177, Dairyland Road.The 38 lots will not generate <br /> enough trips to meet the NCDOT threshold to require a traffic study. Using the Average Daily Trips information provided <br /> by NCDOT, Dairyland Road is a low volume roadway. Using this information, I have the following comments: <br /> Y Will Orange County be requiring a traffic study? <br /> Y Please mark the proposed driveway location in the field for further investigation. <br /> General Plan Review <br /> Y Please provide additional design detail at the driveway connection. <br /> Y Please provide additional roadway design detail of internal network such as horizontal curve data, roadway <br /> lengths, centerline profiles with vertical curve data etcetera. <br /> Y You will need to provide stormwater and drainage calculations. <br /> Y Provide additional information of waterway crossings such as pipe sizes and material <br /> o Please note pipe sizes 48" and larger will be required to be reviewed by the Hydraulics and Geotechnical <br /> Units. <br /> Y Does roadway width meet Fire Code? <br /> Y To meet eligibility for road addition to the State maintenance system, please verify that there are 2 proposed <br /> homes per tenth of mile. <br /> Y There must be a minimum of 2 homes accessing the cul-de-sacs. <br /> If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to me using information provided below. <br /> Regards <br /> DeAngelo J.
