In 2002, there are <br /> approximately 15,500 Orange County residents who are sixty years of age and older, and 1,400 <br /> residents are over eighty-five years old. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with approval of the <br /> proclamations. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the <br /> proclamations designating May as Older Americans Month and May 12 through May 18 as <br /> Senior Center Week in Orange County and authorize the Chair to sign the proclamations. <br />
