He said they based the report on <br /> interviews with the departments. <br /> Commissioner Richards said they are building a diversion facility; they have built a new <br /> jail; they're working on policy changes. She asked, in looking to the future, what are the premises <br /> that say that the Justice division was going to grow 41% and how the county will operate? She <br /> said she is struggling with what they are saying about how they will operate. She said that she <br /> had a wonderful experience getting a passport with the county but asked, as she looks to the <br /> future, what are the county's core services? She asked when they talk about growth, what is that <br /> based on? <br /> Jay Smith said it is based on the population growth of the county. He said some <br /> departments were already in a deficit that would be made up. He said each department was met <br /> with and their square footage was measured and the team learned about what each department <br /> does. He said a balanced approach was taken in regards to hybrid work environments.
