She asked if the weighted voting can be invoked for any <br /> project. <br /> Nishith Trivedi said it is any. He said it is the MPO and RPO Boards that determine what <br /> projects get submitted. <br /> Chair Bedford said she pushed for geographical equity. <br /> Nishith Trivedi said MPOs are allowed to create their own process, they just can't score <br /> their own projects. <br /> Chair Bedford said the towns have a vote on the MPO. <br /> Commissioner Fowler thanked Nishith Trivedi for the presentation and for explaining the <br /> process. <br /> Chair Bedford said the circle diagram is very helpful. She said they would see Nishith <br /> Trivedi again in April to approve the resolution. <br /> 7. Reports <br /> a. Oranqe County Facilities Master Plan Update <br /> The Board received an update regarding the development of a Facilities Master Plan for Orange <br /> County, and provided feedback regarding several key planning recommendations. <br /> BACKGROUND: At the Board of Commissioners' May 3, 2022 Business meeting, the Board <br /> approved a contract with O'Brien Atkins Associates for the development of an Orange County <br /> Facilities Master Plan with a 20 year planning horizon. The scope of the planning effort was to <br /> encompass all major facilities and programs operated by the County, with the exception of Parks <br /> and Recreation and Solid Waste, as these departments will be conducting separate planning <br /> efforts. <br /> At the Board's May 24, 2022 Business meeting, representatives of O'Brien Atkins Associates <br /> presented the planning approach to the Board and received comments from the Board on goals <br /> and direction for the effort. <br /> Over the summer and fall of 2022, O'Brien Atkins Associates performed the following tasks in <br /> support of the development of the Facilities Master Plan: <br /> Task Dates <br /> Project Kick-Off May 24th, 2022 <br /> Planning Goals & Data Gathdoing-July 2022 <br /> Space Planning Jul -October 2022 <br /> Public Forum November 17th, 2022 <br /> Planning Options November 2022 — Present <br /> The following facilities planning goals were established early in the process: <br /> Provide customer service in safe, secure and accessible facilities. <br />
