11 <br /> The requested designations for the Joint Land Use Plan and Orange County Future Land Use <br /> Map is "Rural Buffer." The requested zoning district is RB (Rural Buffer). Additionally, the <br /> Jordan Lake Protected Watershed zoning overlay district will be applied due to the property's <br /> location within the protected watershed. <br /> Additional information is available on the Orange County Planning Department's <br /> website: https://www.orangecountync.gov/3038/Active-Development-Projects <br /> The public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m. on April 20, 2023, at the Whitted Meeting Facility <br /> (300 West Tryon Street, Hillsborough, NC). There will be two agenda items regarding the <br /> proposed amendments: <br /> • A Joint Public Hearing by the elected officials of Orange County, Chapel Hill, and <br /> Carrboro on the Joint Planning Land Use Plan; <br /> • A County Public Hearing on the Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map and <br /> Zoning Atlas. <br /> All interested persons are invited to address the Boards with their comments regarding the <br /> applications. <br /> The Orange County Planning Board and Chapel Hill Planning Commission reviewed the <br /> proposed amendments at their respective March meetings and both advisory boards voted <br /> unanimously to recommend approval of the proposed amendments.
